ok, so lamely enough, though i'm sure this is the way many blog-readers became blog-writers, i have joined blogspot because it is the only way i can be authorized to comment on my favorite bloggers. I suppose for my first topic, i will remind all of you of the possible frustrations of the registration process:
1. Choosing a username; unfortunately, most of your first choices are going to be "unavailable," which means some asshole has claimed the label before you became hip to this scene. I went from "lew," to "lew12" to "lewster" to "username" (someone took that one?) to "lewblogger" (i think that's the one; i already forgot)
2. Struggle number two is that you are ordered to title your blog, and frankly at 3 in the morning when all i'm trying to do is gain authorization to comment, i'm hardly in the mood to create snappy titles.
3. you have to pick a template; frankly i was unimpressed with the selection.
Besides these minor setbacks, i am quite excited to be a part of this community. Thank you for unknowingly allowing me to be a part of the family.

You can tweak the template with basic HTML. I'm working on tweaking ours little by little -- changing colors, font sizes, etc. Eventually I'd like to have a completely unique template, but then I remember that I have other shit I should definitely be doing.
